Ingredients:
- 500g lean beef mince
- One-half tbsp of olive or coconut oil
- Two garlic cloves, minced
- One tsp of freshly grated ginger
- One-half cup minced shallots
- One tsp Chinese Five Spice seasoning
- One and a half cups of pre-cooked brown rice
- One tbsp of dark soy sauce or tamari
- Coriander
- Chili flakes
Instructions:
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat, adding garlic and ginger and then cook for one minute.
- Next, add and mix in the minced beef, Five Spice seasoning and most of the minced shallots, leaving a portion for garnishing. Cook the combination for approximately five minutes, stirring regularly.
- Separately, mix the rice with some chopped coriander in a serving bowl and drizzle with soy or tamari sauce.
- Top the rice mixture with the cooked beef combination. Garnish with remaining coriander, shallots and some chili flakes.
Notes:
This recipe yields two servings, so leftovers are generally limited. But if they exist, they can be stored for several days in the refrigerator and easily reheated in a microwave.
